VALLE ANTRONA is one of the Ossola valleys in the most north-western tip of Italy. It is framed by rather steep wooded mountain sides with grassy or rocky peaks. The road winds up from Villadossola through picturesque little villages, unspoiled by tourism. It takes us to three lakes at the end of the valley which offer nice walks along the banks, a refreshing swim or a snack in the café nearby. From the lakes we can hike along sparkling rivers to wild waterfalls or even up to the passes on the Swiss border. Here we are more likely to meet marmots and eagles than other human beings. The Upper Antrona Valley was declared Nature Park in 2011.
The solitude and wilderness of this area give us the chance to concentrate on ourselves and explore our natural self.
